FineVu Dashcam Australia provides warranty support for eligible FineVu products purchased in Australia from authorised Australian dealers.
This Warranty Policy explains the warranty cover, exclusions, and claim process for FineVu dash cameras, SD cards, and accessories.
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
1. Warranty Period
FineVu products purchased in Australia from an authorised Australian dealer are covered by the following warranty periods:

The warranty period starts from the original date of purchase.
FineVu main units purchased in Australia are covered by a 36-month warranty against defects, while FineVu SD cards are covered for 24 months and accessories for 6 months, according to the FineVu Australia warranty card.
2. Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
3. What This Warranty Covers
This warranty covers manufacturing defects in eligible FineVu dash cameras, genuine FineVu Micro SD cards, and FineVu accessories purchased in Australia from authorised Australian dealers.
Warranty support may include inspection, troubleshooting, repair, replacement, or another appropriate remedy depending on the product, issue, warranty status, and Australian Consumer Law requirements.
4. What This Warranty Does Not Cover
This warranty does not cover damage or faults caused by:
- accident;
- misuse or abuse;
- physical damage;
- water or liquid damage;
- incorrect installation;
- unauthorised repair or modification;
- vehicle power issues;
- use of incompatible accessories;
- use of non-genuine, unsuitable, damaged, or worn SD cards;
- normal wear and tear;
- cosmetic damage that does not affect function;
- failure to follow product instructions.
Damage resulting from use, accident, or normal wear and tear is not covered by the FineVu warranty.
5. Installation and Removal Costs
FineVu Dashcam Australia is not responsible for the cost of installing, removing, reinstalling, or testing the device or accessories, regardless of whether the product is within the warranty period.
This includes labour costs charged by installers, auto electricians, dealerships, or third-party service providers.
The attached FineVu warranty card states that Finedigital is not liable for the costs of installing and removing the device and accessories regardless of the warranty period.
6. Products Purchased Outside Australia
This Australian warranty only applies to FineVu products purchased from an authorised Australian dealer.
FineVu products purchased from outside Australia, overseas sellers, grey-market sellers, or unauthorised sellers are not covered by the Australian FineVu warranty.
The warranty card states that warranty is provided for FineVu dash cams and accessories purchased from an authorised Australian dealer, and that warranty is not offered on FineVu dash cams purchased from outside Australia.
7. Proof of Purchase Required
To make a warranty claim, you must provide proof of purchase.
Proof of purchase may include:
- tax invoice;
- order confirmation;
- receipt;
- reseller purchase record;
- authorised dealer purchase details.
Warranty claims may not be accepted if proof of purchase cannot be provided.
8. Warranty Claim Requirements
When submitting a warranty claim, please provide:
- your full name;
- contact number;
- email address;
- shipping address;
- product model number;
- serial number;
- purchase date;
- reseller name or purchase location;
- proof of purchase;
- clear description of the issue;
- photos or videos showing the issue where possible;
- troubleshooting already completed.
9. Warranty Claim Process
To request warranty support, please contact:
We may ask you to complete troubleshooting steps before approving a return or replacement.
If the product needs to be inspected, we will provide return instructions.
Please do not send products back without contacting us first.
10. Returning Products for Warranty Assessment
Customers are responsible for safely packing the product before sending it for inspection.
Unless otherwise advised, the product should be returned with the required parts only, such as the main unit, rear camera, cable, SD card, or accessory related to the issue.
Do not send unrelated accessories unless requested.
The FineVu warranty card states that customers are responsible for delivering the product to the store where it was purchased.
11. No Fault Found or Non-Warranty Issues
If a returned product is inspected and no fault is found, or the issue is not covered by warranty, we may return the product to you.
In some cases, the customer may be responsible for inspection, return shipping, replacement accessory, or repair costs.
Examples of non-warranty issues include:
- faulty vehicle wiring;
- incorrect hardwire installation;
- battery voltage problems;
- damaged cables;
- corrupted or unsuitable memory card;
- incorrect settings;
- user damage;
- products outside the warranty period.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FineVu Dashcam Australia and Finedigital are not liable for incidental, indirect, or consequential loss arising from the use of the device or accessories.
This may include, but is not limited to:
- loss of footage;
- loss of data;
- vehicle downtime;
- insurance claim issues;
- fines or penalties;
- accident-related loss;
- installation or removal costs;
- loss caused by missed, corrupted, overwritten, or unavailable recordings.
The FineVu warranty card states that Finedigital assumes no liability for accident, injury, death, loss, or other claims related to or resulting from the use of the device, and is not liable for incidental or consequential damages relating to use of the device or any of its parts.
